FAQs

  • Yes! Every program at Unify Athletics offers a free trial class. Simply create an account in our Customer Portal, browse the classes, and send an email to hello@unify-athletics.com to let us know which day, time and class you are interested in!

  • Yes! Unify has regular promotions and specials for events and camps that you’ll learn about through email blasts. There is also a 10% discount for each additional class or sibling added to your account.

As for scholarships, Unify is committed to providing opportunities to passionate kids who may not have the resources for extracurriculars like gymnastics. We have an annual budget set aside for full and partial scholarships and are actively seeking partnership with members in the community to increase our reach.

If you are interested in partnering with us or interested learning more about a scholarship for your child, the process is simple — send an email to hello@unify-athletics.com stating your interest and we will go from there!

  • Yes, membership with Unify Athletics comes with a one-time registration fee. This fee is paid once per family, not per student, and is waived for those who unenroll and reenroll in the future.

  • When setting up your account, you will need to have a payment method stored on file. We strongly request you use eCheck as opposed to credit card, since Unify incurs a greater fee for credit cards.

We post the charge to your account on the 25th of each month, and actually process it (collect payment) on the 1st of each month.

  • Gymnastics, Tumbling, & Ninja

Leotards or step-ins are welcome but not required. Athletes may wear any athletic clothing that is comfortable to move in, covers the midsection, and stays in place while upside down. Long hair must be tied back securely. All jewelry, shoes, and socks should be removed before class and stored in cubbies (grippy socks are permitted). This dress code helps keep athletes safe and allows coaches to spot them effectively.

    Jump Rope

Jumpers typically wear T-shirts tucked into athletic shorts. Long hair must be tied back securely. Participants will wear athletic shoes and socks; shoes must be clean to protect the gym floor. Free ropes are provided for trial students, and Unify will have ropes available for purchase once enrollment begins.

  • Trial classes will take place in a beginner class for all of our programs. A trial class includes a skill assessment during the class. If the instructor deems the athlete should be in a more advanced class, they will communicate this with the parents after the class.

If you are certain your child is advanced, or if your child is transferring in with competitive experience, please reach out directly to hello@unify-athletics.com.

  • Some classes and events are age-restricted. Be sure to double-check the age requirements of the program you’re interested in before attempting to register. All non-beginner class requests require permission on our end. You can easily submit a request through the portal and we will see it in iClass!

  • Advancement happens on a rolling basis, as soon as a participant has unlocked the specified skills for their level. The class instructor will inform the front desk, who can seamlessly transition your child into the new class!

We conduct gym-wide skill assessments a few times each year. We’ll always announce when the evaluations are conducted, and you’ll be able to see the results in the Customer Portal. While these evaluations can give you a helpful sense of weaknesses and strengths, we highly encourage you to communicate with your child’s coach whenever you have questions. They should always be prepared to share what skills might be missing for advancement!

  • All of our classes track naturally toward competitive programs if your athlete is interested. You can learn more about the pathways for competitive gymnastics here (LINK COMPETITIVE PAGE) Recruitment for competitive gymnastics happens April-June and invitations are given to participants in classes. It is helpful for your child’s coach to know about competitive ambitions, as they can more specifically guide the athlete’s efforts.

If you have any additional questions about competitive gymnastics, please email hello@unify-athletics.com

  • If a student is absent from class, a makeup token will be automatically issued to your account, along with instruction on how to submit a makeup request through the portal. Please note: we will always do our best to find a spot for a make-up, but openings are pending general availability and not guaranteed

  • Makeup tokens can be applied to some of our special events, and are also a great way to sample other programs offered at the gym (ie ninja, jump rope, gymnastics).

  • To use a token for the same level/program:

    • Log in to your Parent Portal account and go to “My Account”

    • Click “Makeups” to view your available tokens

    • Select “Use Makeup Token” to see a list of available classes

    • Choose your preferred class to complete the enrollment and redeem your token. It will usually go through as a request that we approve on our end. If your preferred class is not visible, or you want to use your token towards and event or to try out a different program

To use a token for a different program, class, or special event:

  • You must schedule your makeup within 30 days of an absence. However, Unify will issue special tokens for holiday or adverse weather closures that are valid for one year.

Please note: tokens are only valid with active membership. Once a member has dropped from their program, makeup tokens can no longer be used.

  • Our tuition reflects an average of four classes per month. Some months will have five classes, some will have three or four. Unlike other programs, Unify Athletics will always issue special makeup tokens for holiday closures that are valid for one year

  • We don’t currently offer tuition pauses, as spots can only be held with an active membership and ongoing tuition. If you’re unsure about your schedule, our team is always happy to help you explore the best option for your family using make-ups and class transfers as needed!

Each Summer, Unify offers a Punch Pass structure in addition to our monthly membership model. The cost is a little higher per class, but the Punch Pass allows you the flexibility to drop in for classes whenever it works for your schedule, and to not pay for classes you’d be missing!

  • To drop a class, parents must notify us in writing by the 25th of the month to avoid being charged for the upcoming month. Please send drop requests to hello@unify-athletics.com.

Once tuition is processed on the 1st of the month, no full or partial refunds are given. However, we may offer up to a 50% refund in special cases if a valid reason is provided before the 5th of the month.

  • Camp deposits are non-refundable. The remainder may be refunded in full if cancellation notice is received at least four weeks before the start of your camp week. After the four-week deadline, partial refunds or account credits may be offered at the discretion of the business.
